Kisoro tourism desks report a busy opening week

Lodges around Lake Mutanda and the Mgahinga trailheads say bookings are up as the dry season settles in.

Tourism operators in Kisoro have reported a stronger start to the season, with gorilla-permit inquiries and weekend lodge bookings rising together. Joy FM spoke to guides working the Mgahinga trail who said more Ugandan families are travelling within the region, not only overseas visitors. The station will carry a live outside broadcast from the Kisoro tourism office next Saturday morning during Kazaana.
