Museveni tells NRM caucus at Munyonyo to stop theft of PDM and public money

President Museveni used the NRM parliamentary caucus at Munyonyo on 7 August to talk about graft, including theft around the Parish Development Model. Chief Whip Jane Ruth Aceng convened the meeting. The political message was that PDM money is meant to reach parish-level enterprises, not the pockets of the people who sign the lists. MPs were told the party will not survive if voters only meet the programme as a rumour. In Kigezi, PDM is already a call-in topic on Joy FM: who got the funds, who did not, and which SACCOs can show a book. The Munyonyo speech will matter if follow-up files are opened, not if it stays a closed-door lecture. _Based on caucus reporting, 10 August 2026._
